100% Natural Rubber with cotton lining, waterproof jacket. Snap closures down front, at neck, and cuffs. Front pockets, inner adjustable gather at back waist.
This garment has been made with a raw material extracted from and Amazonian tree called Shiringa. Mozh applied the warm, waterproof and elastic material over a natural cotton cloth and smoked it until completely dry in order to achieve a clean look and comfortable feel equal to that of traditional animal leather. Variation in color and pattern is inherent to the material's natural markings. We look to re-introduce this fascinating material into the work of fashion in a clean and conscious way without compromising the environment.
Mozh Mozh is sustainable fashion, eco friendly, and focused on textile conservation and restoration. Produced by women from different communities around the country of Peru; with the goal to preserve the heritage of knitting and weaving ancestral textiles, using traditional textile techniques. Exclusively made with locally sourced materials such as Alpaca and cotton, hand-spun and hand-dyed locally in native villages.
Sustainably made in Peru.
